No fuss burgers with sweet potato fries and wholefood mayo - is even better on the tastebuds than it sounds. Great to share with your partner when he wants to sink his teeth into something hearty and if you like a lot of different toppings and flavours; this one will tick both boxes.
With the same ground beef ingredients as your meatza, you make your beef patties, put them on a plate and chill in the fridge while you prep the rest of your meal. You could even use pork or turkey mince, whatever your palette feels like!
Sweet potato fries: Preheat the oven onto 180. Roughly cut your sweet potato into chip shaped chunks leaving the skin on them. Spread out on a baking tray with baking paper, drizzle in olive oil, fresh rosemary, chilli powder, Himalayan rock salt and some cracked pepper. Toss the sweet potato to ensure the oil has covered the fries. Cook in the over for 35-45 minutes, checking on them every 15 minutes or so to turn and ensure even cooking.
Burger patties: fry on a medium heat in coconut oil, turning a few times during cooking. Depending on the size of your patties, they'll need approx. 10 minutes to cook. Cut with a knife to ensure the meat is browned all the way through. Wrap in tinfoil and keep them in the oven while the others are cooking.
Toppings: Wholefood mayo is always going to be a staple of mine! I also chopped up some beetroot, goat milk feta, tomatoes and some fried brown mushrooms.
You could add some guacamole, salsa, a little bacon, gherkins - the sky's the limit!
I have yet to find anyone who doesn't adore this meal!
